CULVER CITY, California - It was only two years ago when fashion designer Puey Quinones hit rock bottom after being involved in a retagging scandal.

But now he's back and ready to take on Hollywood.

"This is like my comeback. We're putting up a showroom here," Quinones said.

For Quinones, life is about second chances.

As he put the past controversy behind him as he goes forward with his fashion career, he was given a major break when he was invited this month to host a solo fashion show after a wealthy businessman discovered him online.

"I just want to have fun and enjoy my craft that's all," Quinones said.

For the past seven years, Quinones has been volunteering his time in prison, teaching inmates fashion design.

Some of the items he showed on the runway were designed and made not in a studio, but behind prison bars.

"I believe in second chances. So it's about time to give them their chance as well. So this is also my way of giving back to the Philippines by helping them do good, by doing arts and fashion," he said.

After the fashion show, Quinones was also given his show room at upscale home decor designers Unici where he hopes celebrities will come by as awards season in the US continues.

After a roller coaster career Quinones believe the ultimate road to redemption is the road to the Oscars. With the support of mainstream, and showroom opening up soon, he believes that dream can soon become a reality.
