Nearly 2 years into his presidency, President Rodrigo Duterte has had to replace nearly a dozen of his original Cabinet appointees.

Some Cabinet members have been fired or left for personal reasons, and a number have been rejected by the Commission on Appointments.

Here are among the appointees to the Cabinet who have come and gone.

VICE PRESIDENT LENI ROBREDO

POSITION: Housing secretary
DATE OF EXIT: December 5, 2016
REASON: Robredo was the first to leave President Duterte's Cabinet after she was told "to desist from attending all Cabinet meetings." She said Malacañang's order made "it impossible for me to perform my duties."
REPLACEMENT: Leoncio Evasco (also Cabinet secretary)

PERFECTO YASAY JR.

POSITION: Foreign Affairs secretary
DATE OF EXIT: March 8, 2017
REASON: The Commission on Appointments rejected Yasay's appointment due to questions about his citizenship. He later apologized to lawmakers for “inadvertently” misleading them on some questions regarding his supposed U.S. citizenship.
REPLACEMENT: Alan Peter Cayetano

DATE OF EXIT: April 4, 2017
REASON: President Rodrigo Duterte dismissed Sueno, citing loss of trust and confidence over allegations of corruption.

POSITION: Environment Secretary
DATE OF EXIT: May 3, 2017
REASON: The Commission on Appointments rejected Lopez's appointment following opposition from mining groups and other quarters.

POSITION: Social Welfare Secretary
DATE OF EXIT: August 16, 2017
REASON: The Commission on Appointments rejected Taguiwalo's appointment. She was the first left-leaning Cabinet member to be booted out by lawmakers.

POSITION: Agrarian Reform secretary
DATE OF EXIT: September 6, 2017
REASON: The Commission on Appointments rejected Mariano's ad-interim appointment. He was the second left-leaning Cabinet member to be rejected by lawmakers.

RODOLFO SALALIMA

POSITION: Information and Communications Technology secretary
DATE OF EXIT: September 20, 2017
REASON: Salalima resigned out of "delicadeza," citing personal and work-related reasons, according to Malacañang.
REPLACEMENT: Eliseo Rio (as OIC)

PAULYN UBIAL

POSITION: Health Secretary
DATE OF EXIT: October 4, 2017
REASON: The Commission on Appointments rejected Ubial's appointment after former Kabayan Party-List representative and now Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque raised concerns over her qualifications for the post.
REPLACEMENT: Francisco Duque

PATRICIA LICUANAN

POSITION: Commission on Higher Education chairperson
DATE OF EXIT: January 15, 2018
REASON: Licuanan resigned from Duterte's Cabinet after receiving a call from Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea asking her to step down ahead of the expiration of her term in July 2018. The President in February, however, said he fired Licuanan over alleged frequent travels and delays in the release of allowances of government scholars.

POSITION: Justice Secretary
DATE OF EXIT: April 5, 2018
REASON: Aguirre's resignation came after the President criticized him about his department's handling of various cases, including the dismissal of charges against drug suspects Kerwin Espinosa and Peter Lim, which drew public outrage.
REPLACEMENT: Menardo Guevarra
