On Instagram, Tandingan said she will be launching her single on September 26 at Takeover Lounge at The Pop-Up Katipunan.

In her post, Tandingan revealed that she experienced writer's block and that she did not intend to release "Toyo" but her husband, "Palagi" hitmaker TJ Monterde, encouraged her to do so.

"I’ve been trying to release a new album for quite some time now, and having a particular vision and sound in my head and heart can sometimes be creatively paralyzing. These past few months, I found myself stuck in writer’s block, unable to complete anything, and it’s been taking a toll on me. I felt frustrated and only wanted to get out of that rut," Tandingan shared.
"I’ve been trying to release a new album for quite some time now, and having a particular vision and sound in my head and heart can sometimes be creatively paralyzing. These past few months, I found myself stuck in writer’s block, unable to complete anything, and it’s been taking a toll on me. I felt frustrated and only wanted to get out of that rut," Tandingan shared.

"So, I challenged myself to write a song that was so left-field from what I’m used to writing, very bright, straightforward, and easy-listening. I wrote and recorded it on my phone and laughed when I made TJ listen to it. I never intended for this to be released because it felt like my WINCH SONG, a song that pulled me out of the mud, and I wrote out of desperation to create, but TJ encouraged me that releasing this is also being truthful about my journey as an artist. Sometimes, when things get overwhelming, it doesn’t hurt to take a step back and try doing something you’ve never done to refresh your mind and soul," Tandingan wrote.
