Darren Espanto rushed to hospital due to appendicitis

MANILA --  Kapamilya artist Darren Espanto had a "plot twist" on his way to Manila as he was rushed to a hospital. 

On Instagram Stories, Espanto shared to his fans and followers the "plot twist" that happened to him as he uploaded a photo of him lying on hospital bed.

Espanto said that from the airport he was rushed to hospital due to appendicitis. He also thanked his family and friends who prayed for him.

"From the airport to the hospital. Sabi sa inyo, grabeng plot twist nangyari sa akin eh. Appendicitis suddenly hit during my flight back to Manila. Was supposed to be back on 'Showtime' today but emergencies happen talaga. Shoutout to my family and friends who have prayed for me!" Espanto wrote.

"To the producers of the shows I was supposed to be part of in the next few days, I am so sad to have cancel so last minute. I hope to work with y'all soon pa rin po! Thank you for understanding!" Espanto added. 

In his most recent post, Espanto shared that he is on his way to operating room.

Also on Instagram, Star Magic announced that Espanto won't be able to perform at Tandaya Festival 2024 Samar Day Celebration this Sunday. 

Star Magic cited that the cancellation of Espanto's performance at the Samar Provincial Capitol Grounds was "due to a health-related emergency."
