MANILA  -- Director Antoinette Jadaone has confirmed that she is about to do a film with Star For All Seasons and award-winning actress Vilma Santos.

This was after the director posted some behind-the-scene snaps on her social media of their story pitching session with the veteran actress together with some of the members of their production team.

Though her lips are sealed, the director couldn't help but feel elated about her upcoming project which she considers one of her ultimate dreams.

"Super happy nakaka-starstruck," she said in an interview with ABS-CBN News during the special screening of the 2024 Cinemalaya Film Festival movie entry, "Bono Basho" which she co-produced with Mentorque Productions.

According to Jadaone, this will be her first on-set encounter with the iconic actress, which she considers a check off her bucket list.

"Opo first time, (pero) enaka-work ko na siya but not on set, kasi isa ako sa writers ng 'Ekstra' Cinemalaya rin 2013," she said "Not directing pero producer ako this time," she added.

Together with Jadaone, film producer John Bryan Diamante of Mentorque Productions, the production company behind the success of the recent Metro Manila Film Festival's "Mallari," also shared his excitement for this upcoming project with the Philippines movie icon.

As a newcomer in the film industry, Diamante is ecstatic that the movie icon has agreed to their proposed film project.

"I worked with her in other industries, sa politics, and sa public service, so this is the very first time that we're working on a film, on an actual film. Kagaya nga ng pakiramdam ni direk, were very happy kasi alam namin na mahirap siyang pa-oohin, and with this one were very very excited about this," he said.

Jadaone was behind the success of many blockbuster films, including "Never Not Love You" in 2018, which starred James Reid and Nadine Lustre, "Alone/Together" in 2019 which starred Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, and the 2014 film "That Thing Called Tadhana," starring JM De Guzman and Angelica Panganiban.
