Maki reaches new milestone with 100M streams of 'Dilaw' on Spotify

MANILA — OPM singer Maki became emotional as he reached another new milestone with his hit song "Dilaw."

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Tarsier Records confirmed that the record has tallied 100 streams on the online streaming platform Spotify.

"THE POWER OF DILAW ... DILAW NOW HAS OVER 100 MILLION STREAMS! ... thank you for all the love and support," the record label said.

Maki thanked everyone for their support to the song.

"I don’t know what to say or feel. All I know is that, nothing I could do or say is enough to thank everyone for all the support and love," the OPM singer said.

"Thank you for letting me be an OPM artist. At maraming salamat sa mga Filipino artists na patuloy na nag-iinspire sa aming lahat, sa akin," he added.

He dedicated the new milestone to everyone in the OPM industry.

"From the renowned pioneers of OPM and to all new Filipino musicians who are thriving, blooming, at nagtutulungan paangat. Thank you. I’m glad that we get to help each other thru music and for music," he said.

"All for the future of OPM. it is truly an honor to celebrate this milestone alongside so many great artists I look up to."

A music video for "Dilaw" was released with BINI member Maloi Ricalde as the lead star.

BINI is under Star Music, while Maki is under Tarsier Records -- both sub-labels of ABS-CBN Music.

Maki rose to fame with his hit single "Saan?" enumerating popular places where he could bring a person on a date.

He has yet to reveal the release date for his upcoming single "Namumula."

Maki will be holding his solo concert at the New Frontier Theater on November 29.
