A peaceful guest house nestled in the woods turns into a hotspot of suspense with the arrival of a mysterious woman, played by "Sweet Home" star Go Min-si, in Netflix's upcoming thriller series "The Frog."

On Friday, the streaming giant unveiled a teaser for the show, which centers on people "whose peaceful lives are thrown into turmoil by the arrival of a mysterious guest in the middle of summer."

Based on the clip, Min-si portrays a seemingly unhinged woman who attacks a guest house staff member with a fire extinguisher, starts a fire, and is seen covered in blood.

The character is a stark departure from Min-si's well-known roles in the apocalyptic horror series "Sweet Home," which recently dropped its third and final season on Netflix, and the romance drama "Youth of May."

Veteran actor Kim Yun-seok ("Noryang: Deadly Sea" and "Escape from Mogadishu") also leads the cast as Young-ha, the owner of the guest house whose peace is disturbed by Min-si's character Seong-a.

Yoon Kye-sang ("The Outlaws") portrays Sang-jun, the owner of a rural motel whose tranquility is disrupted by a guest of his own, while Lee Jung-eun ("Parasite" and "Miss Night and Day") plays a police officer investigating the cases involving both Young-ha and Sang-jun.

"The Frog" is set to premiere on Netflix on August 23.
