MANILA -- BINI's latest single, "Cherry on Top," has taken the country by storm just three days after it debuted on YouTube and on streaming platforms.

As of Sunday night, the music video for the new single of the Nation's Girl Group already has nearly six million views.

But the members of BINI admitted recently that they were nervous about how the single would be received by the public.

"Natakot kami, baka biglang … 'di maganda ang reception," said BINI leader Jhoanna Robles. "From Tagalog [songs], full English. But this year nga po, we said, is about exploring."

The success of their new song is unexpected, with Stacey Sevilleja recalling how they would struggle to get 100,000 views on their older singles.

"Dati, 100,000 hirap kami," she said. "Ngayon, wala pang 24 hours, three million views na. Sobrang thank you so much." -- from a report by Anna Cerezo, ABS-CBN News
