MANILA — Veteran actor Joel Torre will be working with rising child actor Euwenn Mikael Aleta for a new Netflix film.

Torre and Aleta will play a grandfather-grandson tandem who robs houses but things will change when Aleta figures in an accident.

"Kid, ang mahalaga diskarte. Kapag wala kang diskarte sa mundong ito, mamamatay kang dilat at walang laman ang tiyan mo," Torre's character said. 

Juan Karlos, Iza Calzado, Joem Bascon, Meryl Soriano, Shaina Magdayao, Alfred Vargas, among others will also be making appearances in the film.  

Directed by Benedict Mique, "Lolo and The Kid" is set to premiere globally on Netflix this August 7.
