MANILA -- Almost a decade since they starred in an award-winning girl's love (GL) series, actresses Glaiza De Castro and Rhian Ramos are set to reunite on-screen for their first movie together, Wide International Film Productions announced on Tuesday.

In a series of viral posts on different social media platforms, the film producer revealed that both actresses agreed to do a movie together, after they were teased by attendees of the FreenBecky Grand Fanmeeting at the Araneta Coliseum in 2023.

"It's now official," Wide International wrote on Facebook.

Castro and Ramos were the lead cast of "The Rich Man's Daughter" that premiered on GMA Network in 2015, one of the first primetime GL series in Southeast Asia.

The two, dubbed as "RaStro" love team, garnered enermous praises for their portrayal of Jade and Althea's characters.

Their fans flooded the announcement posts and shared that they had long been waiting for the RaStro's comeback, which they deemed perfectly timed for Pride Month.

Others have also organized hashtag parties to show support.

The film producer have yet to disclose any details about the film, including its plot and release date.
