The award ceremony took place late Tuesday in Seoul, with actors Park Bo-gum and Suzy joining comedian Shin Dong-yup as hosts.

According to a report by Korean entertainment news portal Soompi, "Moving," Disney's live action adaptation of a webtoon about superpowered families, won the grand prize for television.

Meanwhile, "12.12: The Day," a feature set against the backdrop of South Korea's military coup in the late 1970s, bagged the same award in the film category.

The period drama "My Dearest" won Best Drama, with its actor Namgoong Min taking home the Best Actor award. Actress and beauty queen Honey Lee received the Best Actress award for the series "Knight Flower."

Under the film category, Hwang Jung-min was named Best Actor for "12.12: The Day" while Kim Go-eun was awarded Best Actress for the supernatural horror "Exhuma."
