MANILA -- Actress Loisa Andalio has issued an apology to those who were offended by her recent statement regarding solo travelers.

This apology comes after an interview with entertainment website PEP where she expressed her opinion that traveling is best experienced when shared, questioning the idea of solo travel.

(“Sometimes, I just don't understand people who solo travel. It seems lonely because who will you share the beauty of the view with? They must have gone through a lot to prefer being alone.")

Following the backlash from her comments, Andalio clarified her statement in a new interview.

(The previous interview was a bit incomplete. My opinion was that for me, if I were to solo travel, I must have gone through a lot to reach a point where I would prefer to be alone because my personality is to want to be with Ronnie (Alonte), friends, or family. I don't generalize, that's just my opinion. If others misinterpreted it, I apologize. They have their opinions, and I also respect them."
