MANILA (UPDATED) — OPM singer Martin Nievera renewed his contract with ABS-CBN on Sunday.

In a press conference, Nievera described the Kapamilya network as his "home" where he will stay forever.

"We really didn't need to do this. I was a Kapamilya when we used to call this station The Sarimanok Station, before the word Kapamilya was ever used, I was already a Kapamilya," the OPM singer said.

"Just like finding the right girl in my life, I found the right home, there's no place else to go but home, this is home for," he added.

Nievera is dubbed as the country's "Concert King" for his memorable performances on stage.

He is known for tracks including "Say That You Love Me", "Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin", "Maging Sino Ka Man", "Be My Lady", "Hanggang Kailan", among others.

During the contract signing, Nievera got emotional when he received messages from Canadian musician David Foster, his twin Vicki Nievera, and "ASAP Natin 'To" co-stars Regine Velasquez, Jed Madela, Ogie Alcasid, Bugoy Drilon, Jason Dy, Jona, Gary Valenciano, among others.

"I've made some bad decisions in my life, I've made some good ones, this was the best decision, was to sign again, sign again, and sign again and to be Kapamilya," Nievera said.

"Whenever you need me, wherever you need me, whether it's in another country or whatever it is you can count on me. There's nothing too big or too small that I can do for you," he added.

Nievera vowed that he will be on ABS-CBN's side amid all the challenges that they will face in the future.

"I am a product of many great writers, amazing directors and people who believe in me. I take no credit for being up here on this stage. I represent a great amount of talented people you don't see," the OPM singer said.

"For me to sign this is my way of thanking them and glorifying their talents through me, whatever you thing you can do with me at this age, at this point of my career ... It's forever for me. We've been through much together," he added.

"We are survivors. Kapamilya is a survivor, Kapamilya is a fighter, Kapamilya is someone who believes in the other, there's no paper that needs to be signed, no paycheck that needs to be given. I was there when this station restarted and I'll be there when you restart again."

Nievera is currently one of the lead acts of ABS-CBN variety show "ASAP Natin 'To" along with Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid and Gary Valenciano, among others.
