Carlo Aquino, Anne Curtis, and Joshua Garcia with Mae Cruz-Alviar for PH adaptation of South Korean drama "It's Okay to Not Be Okay ".

Carlo Aquino, Joshua Garcia, and Anne Curtis are teaming up for the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean drama series "It's Okay to Not Be Okay ". 

During the project announcement on Friday, Aquino, and Garcia who will play the role of Mathew Gonzales and Patrick Gonzales shared their excitement about doing the project with Curtis who last did a series after a decade. 

"Very honored sobra. Of course, pagkatapos ng napakatagal na panahon babalik siya (Anne Curtis) ng series, tapos isa ako sa mga makakasama niya. Isang karangalan," Garcia said.

"Excited kasi the last time we worked together parang 'Baler' pa 'yun and sobrang tagal na nu'n, so and I'm sure kita niyo naman very willing and capable naman ang isang Anne Curtis sa role, so I am excited," Aquino added. 

Curtis also revealed that she wanted to do the role of Emilia Hernandez because of the relatable and similarities in characters they had.

"I love her journey of growth and I talked about it with Ms. Mae (Cruz-Alviar) earlier you see it from the very beginning of the episode until the last. You see it in how she dresses and how she changes her hair, how she speaks, how she controls her emotions how she goes thru the process, pati 'yung mga outburst niya sabi ko 'I can see myself', so I think it was a light bomb moment and she can be relatable to so many. And maybe I recognize and I acknowledge that with myself also," Curtis said. 

"It's Okay to Not Be Okay " is under the direction of Mae Cruz-Alviar and planning to showcase the beautiful scenes of Negros province and Iloilo City. 

"Of course, this is a highly anticipated project and I am very grateful that I was given this opportunity to do this very beautiful K-drama adaptation," Cruz said. 

"It's Okay to Not Be Okay" is under Star Creatives and soon available on Netflix.
