MANILA — The Filipino adaptation of "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim" will start airing on television this month.

Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino confirmed the new development on "ASAP Natin 'To" on Sunday.

"What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?" will air on the Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5 on weekends starting this May 25.

"Sana maraming mapasaya at mapangiti ang 'What's Wrong With Secretary Kim' sa TV," Avelino said.

The Philippines' adaptation of "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim" will air on Saturdays, 7:15 p.m., on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z and 8 p.m. on TV5 and Sundays, 8:00 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z and 8:15 p.m. on TV5.

Directed by Chad Vidanes, "What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?" started streaming on Viu last March.

Chiu and Avelino are joined by Jake Cuenca, Pepe Herrera, Angeline Quinto, Kaori Oinuma, Gillian Vicencio, Yves Flores, Janice de Belen, Franco Laurel, Romnick Sarmenta, and Cai Cortez. 

The webtoon-based Korean series not only topped the local ratings when it aired in 2018, but also gained widespread popularity globally.

This is the third adaptation of a top rating international format between ABS-CBN and Viu, following “The Broken Marriage Vow” and “Flower of Evil.”

Avelino and Chiu are also the stars of "Linlang: The Teleserye Version," which is currently airing on primetime.
