MANILA — Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, stars of the hit primetime series "Can’t Buy Me Love," recount the unforgettable memories of their characters, Bingo and Caroline, and the journey that has captured the hearts of millions.

“Thinking about it na we're done shooting and everything... there's this sense of fulfillment na, wow, we were able to deliver a project,” Mariano said.

Pangilinan’s sentiment mirrors Mariano’s. "When you start a project, hindi mo naman alam kung magiging hit siya, if people will really watch it, if they'll support it. So, we were really nervous, a bit of pressure. We were just hoping for the best, you know. Not having all those expectations. Kasi, syempre, like you said, first primetime namin. But we trusted sila direk and the entire team,” he said.

As they delve into the impact of playing their respective roles, Mariano shared her personal growth. "Caroline taught me to believe in my capabilities. It was a challenge to step into her shoes everyday, to portray someone so different from myself. But that's where the magic happens, right?"

Pangilinan shared his own revelations. "Bingo was a complex character, from a world I was unfamiliar with. But immersing myself in Binondo, feeling the pulse of the place... it helped me connect with him on a deeper level."

They discussed the evolution they’ve witnessed in each other in the nine months shooting the series. "Belle has this incredible emotional depth," he remarked. "She brought Caroline to life in ways that consistently amazed me."

“And Donny," Mariano interjected, "he's always had this ease about him. But with Bingo, he showed a resilience and a depth that was truly inspiring.”

Both actors light up with enthusiasm talking about the show’s finale. "The tension on set was intense,” she recalled. "We had pieces of the script, but not the whole picture. It kept everyone on their toes, especially during those final scenes."

Pangilinan chimed in, "And keeping the killer's identity a secret even from us — that was something else. It made the reveal that much more impactful."

As they reflected on the series' end, the actors acknowledged how their characters will stay with them. "Bingo, Caroline, they've become parts of us in ways we didn't expect. They've taught us about love, family, and sacrifice," Mariano admitted.

With the series ending, fans are eager to know what's next for the beloved pair.” We're taking a short break, but we've got exciting things lined up," he teased. "There’s ASAP in California and the All Star Games," he continued, while Mariano mentioned her upcoming appearance at the Barrio Fiesta in London.

As for the legacy of "Can’t Buy Me Love," both stars believe the series has opened new doors for them, presenting opportunities for growth and exploration in their craft. "This project stretched us, challenged us, and we're excited to see where we can go from here," Pangilinan reflected.

In a heartfelt message to their fans, the actors expressed their deep appreciation. "We owe so much to you, our viewers," Mariano said. "Your theories, your passion, your love — it's been the lifeblood of 'Can’t Buy Me Love.'"

Pangilinan nodded in agreement: "Every emotion you've shared with us has been a gift. Thank you for making our show a part of your lives."
