On Instagram, 34-year-old vocalist shared a series of new profile photos, tagging the account of his new agency, Griffin Entertainment.

In a separate post on its Instagram page, Griffin Entertainment introduced Onew as its first artist.

"Griffin Entertainment, drawing its name from the legendary guardian of priceless relics, is dedicated to safeguarding and nurturing our artists," it wrote in a post featuring Onew's profile photos.

"We strive to provide a sanctuary where artists can thrive and let their distinct gifts and talents illuminate the world," it added.

The development comes after Onew's exclusive contract with longtime label SM Entertainment reportedly expired in March, though it seems that SM would continue to manage Onew's group activities with SHINee.

Earlier this week, fellow SHINee member Taemin was revealed to have signed with label Big Planet Made.

Debuting in 2008, SHINee — which also includes Minho and Key — has been dubbed as the "Princes of K-pop," putting out countless hit songs such as "Replay," "Ring Ding Dong" and "Lucifer."

In 2018, Onew debuted as a soloist with the extended play "Voice." Last year, he dropped his first full-album "Circle."

The artist, whose real name is Lee Jin-ki, has also ventured into acting. Most notably, he landed a supporting role in the hit drama "Descendants of the Sun."
