MANILA -- Actor and OPM singer Juan Karlos Labajo won the hearts of netizens with his thoughtful gesture towards an infant who was amongst the crowd at his recent gig.
In the video shared on her Facebook account by user LifeofEs, Labajo paused his performance to address the parents of the crying baby, expressing concern about the loud music and explicit language in his song "Ere."
“Two months? Ba’t mo pinaparinig ng ‘Ere’ ‘yung bata. Two months pa lang, maaga, huwag. Wala bang earmuffs si bebe? Umiiyak na si baby, okay lang ba ‘yan? kawawa naman ‘yung bata,” he said.
(Two months? Why are you letting the child listen to ‘Ere’? If the baby is only two months, it’s too early, don’t do that. Does bebe have earmuffs? The baby is crying, is that okay? I feel sorry for the child.)
In another part of the video, Labajo was seen cradling the baby and appeared to be talking with what seemed to be a  staff member to provide earplugs for the baby.
When he returned on stage, Labajo emphasized to the audience, especially parents, that children under the developmental age have sensitive ears.
“Yung mga bata, especially one year below, super sensitive pa yung mga tenga nila. Maraming salamat sa suporta, but please alagaan niyo si baby,” he admonished.
(Kids, especially those one year below, their ears are still super sensitive. Thank you so much for the support, but please take care of baby.)
The comments section was flooded with netizens praising Labajo.
“You have a big heart, you go far away for taking good care of the baby. God will bless you,” Deborrah Meehleib Dela Cruz said in the comments section.
“hanga ako sa kanya....di baling mahinto performance nya...basta mabigyang concern nya yong BB....he is a good heart. ..and he will be good father im sure,” Alianah Anah Cajucom wrote.
(I admire him, he stopped his performance just to tend to the baby. He has a good heart. I'm sure, he will be a good father.)
“An example of a good father in the future,” Dahlia CM also commented.
