MANILA -- Kapamilya stars Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano expressed pride in showcasing the best of Filipino culture and entertainment through their hit show "Can't Buy Love," which remains among the Top 10 offerings on Netflix Philippines.

"More than anything we are very proud there is a local show in the 10 even though there are many Korean Dramas, anime, and even Hollywood series," Pangilinan said, Saturday.

"We are happy [that] people love our local content, and that is the most important thing—  we are able to put out quality content, especially since I believe 'Can't Buy Me Love' is something different. We are happy to share the amazing culture of Binondo, Chinatown," he added.

The pair also said they were thrilled they were able to use the series as a platform to showcase the beauty of the country— such as Atok in Benguet province.

"When I first set foot there, I was like 'This is in the Philippines?' I saw the northern blossoms, I said, 'This is better than Switzerland.' It is so nice we have these places in the Philippines. And that it is well maintained," Pangilinan said.

For Mariano, the success of the show is likewise the triumph of every Filipino.

"We are so thankful. Everyone is part of it," Mariano said.  "We ourselves are excited to see what is next."

Both Mariano and Pangilinan also took pride in the journeys taken by their respective characters, Caroline and Bingo, as the series progressed. And with "Can't Buy Me Love" nearing its conclusion, both actors teased more explosive developments.

The hit series airs Mondays through Fridays on the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, Jeepney TV, Cinemo, TFC IPTV, and TV5. It streams in advance on Netflix and iWantTFC.
