MANILA — Filipino indie folk band Ben&Ben was still on Cloud Nine after sharing a concert stage with one of their musical heroes, English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.

Sheeran mounted late Saturday the Manila stop of his "Mathematics" tour at the SMDC Concert Grounds in Parañaque, marking his return to the local concert scene after six years.

At some point in the concert, Sheeran was joined on stage by Ben&Ben, with both acts singing the Filipino band's hit "Maybe the Night."

"It felt like a dream. Unreal," Miguel Benjamin Guico, one of Ben&Ben's vocalists, wrote in an Instagram post.

"Thank you for having such a generous heart in sharing your stage, @teddysphotos," Guico said, tagging Sheeran's Instagram username.

"You’ve been a huge blessing and inspiration to so many musicians and fans, us included! This will forever be deep within our core memories," he added.

Making use of a rotating stage, Sheeran serenaded thousands of concertgoers with his notable songs, including "Shape of You," "Perfect," "Thinking Out Loud," "Photograph" and "Dive."

English singer-songwriter Calum Scott was also a guest at the concert.

On Instagram, Sheeran also shared a video of a backstage karaoke session with Ben&Ben.

"Karaoke is a huge thing here in the Philippines, so I found a portable machine to wheel around backstage before the show tonight in Manila," he wrote in the caption.
