Rising singer-songwriter Dionela aims to break new ground in OPM with the introduction of a new music genre in his latest track "Hoodie," featuring his long-time idol Alisson Shore.

“Naisip ko lang din ngayon, portal genre. I would say it is a Dionela original. Pag pinakingan mo yung song dadalhin ka sa pinaka-magandang naisip mo. May sari-sarili tayo preference ano magandang place. Para sa akin, tabing dagat, para sa iba yung city,” Tim Dionela said in an interview.

“Hoodie because unang maisip mo ‘cozy’ that’s what I want listeners to feel. That vibe, yung comfort,” he added.

According to Dionela, the collaboration was a dream come true.

“Marami ako resibo, sa interviews and guestings siya sinasabi ko gusto ko talaga maka-work si Alisson Shore,” he recalled.

Alisson Shore meanwhile said he did not hesitate to work with Dionela after he heard some of the tracks the latter sent.

“Pag naririnig ko kanta, meron ako na vi-visualize may visual attachment sa akin, it makes me want to write something and express something— and that was what I felt sa kanya.

"Immediately after, nagsend ako agad sa kanya ng verse ng track. Gustong gusto ko talaga tong kantang to dahil nagawa ko agad,” he said.
