MANILA — Marko Rudio, a finalist of "Tawag ng Tanghalan" season 6, is making waves in the music industry as he launched his original composition "Kasama Ka" with a music video.

Despite not clinching the top spot in the singing competition of ABS-CBN's noontime show “It’s Showtime,” Rudio expressed his gratitude for being part of Star Music, the record label under ABS-CBN, which has continued to support his musical endeavors.

“Sobrang masaya. Bago sa pakiramdam ko 'yung ganito nakapag-produce na kami dati pero kami-kami lang parang tropa lang. 'Yung ngayon kasi ibang level sobrang nakakakaba, nakaka-excite,” Rudio said.

In an interview, Rudio shared that he drew inspiration from bands like Kamikazee and Parokya ni Edgar, whose music has influenced his own style and sound.

He described "Kasama Ka" as a heartfelt and soulful track that reflects his personal experiences and emotions.

“Original composition ko siya. Nasulat ko siya dahil sa isang kasamahan ko na finalist sa Tawag ng Tanghalan. 'Pag nakakagusto kasi ako ganun ko pinapakita parang love emotions na nabubuo inside me through sulat ng songs,” Rudio said.

Rudio was referring to Nowi Alpuerto, who also joined "Tawag ng Tanghalan" season 6 and became a finalist.

One of Rudio's biggest aspirations is to collaborate with Kamikazee and Parokya ni Edgar. He expressed his admiration for the bands and hopes to work with them in the future to create music that resonates with audiences.

“Unang una Parokya (ni Edgar), kahit nga maka-picture lang. Kasi sila 'yung pinaka-dahilan paano ako natuto magbanda, Napanuod ko inuman sessions nila bata pa ako nu'n,” he said.
