MANILA — OPM singer Martin Nievera got some help from former partner Pops Fernandez to capture the heart of a contestant of "The Voice Teens Philippines" season 3.

In the Sunday episode, Zara Baningen of Antipolo, Rizal sang "Ang Buhay Ko" and impressed Nievera and Bamboo.

While convincing Baningen, Nievera felt that the aspirant can be the next concert queen.

"Parang marami kang boses eh, maraming potential, pwede kang mag-rock 'n roll, pwede kang mag-ballad, pwede kang mag-competition, ibig sabihin pwede kang maging the next concert queen," Nievera said.

Fernandez made an appearance on the studio and vouched for Nievera's guidance.

"Zara, feeling ko nga, 'pag si Coach Martin ang nag-coach sa 'yo, napakadaling maging concert queen ka for sure. Matiyaga 'yan, hanggang ngayon tinuturuan pa rin niya ako how to sing these certain notes. Totoo 'yan nakikialam 'yan parati," Fernandez said in jest.

"He is very generous and kind. Na-experience ni KZ 'yan, lahat ng bagay na kailangan mo, para ma-hone ka to be a better performer and singer, bibigay niya sa 'yo," she added.

Nievera's helping hand was not enough as Baningen chose to be part of Kamp Kawayan.

Meanwhile, Nicole Olivo of Laguna got a rare three-chair turn and chose Bamboo while Cards España went to Nievera. Laurence Dalisay of Batangas also went to Kamp Kawayan.

“The Voice Teens Philippines" airs every weekend on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, TV, iWantTFC and TFC on Saturdays at 7:15 p.m and Sundays at 7 p.m.
