MANILA -- BINI, the P-pop act dubbed as "The Nation's Girl Group," is set to release an extended play (EP), its label announced late Wednesday.

On its X (formerly Twitter) page, Star Music dropped a teaser photo for the EP, thanking the group's fans called Blooms for "the wait."

Star Music did not immediately disclose the EP's release date.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, member Mikha said the group was excited to drop the EP.

"These songs, we really voted on, we're very proud of them," Mikha said.

"This is the same genre but also at the same time, a much much leveled-up version and we're so excited as in hindi kami mapakali, gusto na namin mag-release talaga. Sayang March pa," she added.

On the same evening, ABS-CBN's ELJ Communications Center building lit up in pink and flashed the group's name while the girls met their fans — many of whom wore pink and denim — that trooped to the company's compound in Quezon City.

A similar execution was done to promote Netflix's animated series "Trese" as well as "Mars Ravelo's Darna" in September 2022.

BINI previously released the single "Pantropiko" in November 2023.

Also composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Jhoanna and Sheena, BINI debuted in 2021 with the single "Born to Win."
