After her viral hit 'APT' with Bruno Mars, Blackpink member Rosé announced the release of her new single, ‘Number One Girl’, in an Instagram post Tuesday, November 19.

According to the post, “Number One Girl” will be released on Friday, 12 a.m. EST (1 p.m. in Philippine time).

“[T]his one’s for my number ones,” the 27-year-old artist said in the Instagram post, with a matching photo of her wearing a white shirt printed with the single’s title.

The tile refers to her fans, whom she named “number ones.”

Rosé, whose real name is Roseanne Park, earlier announced that her long-awaited album is "Rosie," will be released on December 6.

It is her first studio album under The Black Label and Atlantic Records since signing with the label in June 2024.

Earlier this month, she released a collaboration with Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars, "APT.” It ranked 8th on the Billboard Hot 100, the highest for a female K-pop artist.

The K-pop star started her solo career with the single album "R" in 2021 under YG Entertainment.

She is Blackpink’s main vocalist, earning the title of “golden voice” in K-pop. The group is popular for its massive hits such as “DDU-DU DDU-DU”, “How You Like That”, and “Pink Venom”.

All group members renewed their group contract with YG Entertainment but signed with different companies for their solo contracts.

Two members of the group, Lisa and Jennie, also previously released solo singles this year with “Rockstar” and “Mantra,” respectively.
