MANILA — The rerun of "Tabing Ilog' musical will be a meeting of old and new members of the cast along with fresh layers in the story.

BINI member Jhoanna Robles, Sheena Belarmino, and Vivoree will be playing the role of Eds, while BGYO's Akira Morishita and Benedix Ramos will be back as Rovic.

Miah Canton and Anji Salvacion will be staying as Corrinne along with Vino Mabalot as Fonzy.

George will still be played by Andi Abaya and Kiara Takahashi while Badong will be played solo by Jude Matthew Servilla, along with James played by Jordan Andrews and Kobie Brown.

Adrian Lindayag will be coming in the team as Andoy and will be alternating with Omar Uddin.

Speaking to reporters, Lindayag shared how the cast's youthful vibe helped him adjust on set.

"Sobrang warm nung welcome nilang lahat parang excited naman yata silang makatrabaho ako. 'Yun naramdaman ko. Excited din po ako kasi ang saya nung vibe talaga ng 'Tabing Ilog' tsaka ng San Juan E. Thank you for the fountain of youth, guys," he said.

Ramos looks forward on their portrayals of their characters as they now understand them deeper.

Comparing to its first run, director Phil Noble said that there were only a few tweaks on the upcoming show.

Some choreography inayos, mas pinaganda pa and some parts of the set," he said.

The original television series “Tabing Ilog” featured John Lloyd Cruz, Kaye Abad, Patrick Garcia, Paula Peralejo, Paolo Contis, Desiree del Valle, Baron Geisler, and Jodi Sta. Maria as the lead stars.

Just like its original TV version, the stage remake will also be about friendship as it centers on the struggles of the youth.

The script, however, was tweaked to fit the challenges and realities the new generation is now facing. Among the issues that will be tackled are mental health and modern relationship problems as well as the rapidly changing digital landscape.

"Tabing Ilog" will be back from November 8 to December 1 at the PETA Theater Center in Quezon City.
