MANILA — The roster of films for the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is now complete following the announcement of the remaining five movies on Tuesday.
MANILA — The roster of films for the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is now complete following the announcement of the remaining five movies on Tuesday.
The new titles announced were: “My Future You” led by Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin; "Hold Me Close" led by Carlo Aquino and Julia Barretto; “Uninvited” starring Vilma Santos, Nadine Lustre, and Aga Muhlach; “Topakk” led Arjo Atayde and Julia Montes; and “Espantaho” starring Judy Ann Santos and Lorna Tolentino.

Teasers for the first five films -- "And The Breadwinner Is ...", "Strange Frequencies: Haunted Taiwan Hospital", "Isang Himala", "The Kingdom", and "Green Bones" -- were also shown.

The commemorative trophy for the 50th MMFF, designed and created by Filipino-American visual artist Jefrë, was also unveiled during the event.

According to MMFF Selection Committee head Jesse Ejercito, it was tough deliberating 70 films. Some of the films that were not chosen will be part of the Summer Film Festival that the MMFF is planning next year.

The annual parade of stars will be on December 15. The MMFF Sponsor's Night will happen on December 21 and the Gabi ng Parangal will be held on December 27.
