Maria Tan, ABS-CBN NewsMANILA — Filipino Directioners on the other side of the world mourn the death of Liam Payne, bidding their final farewell through a tribute they organized at a mall in Parañaque City.

Heartbroken fans wrote short letters, left flowers, and offered prayers for the late singer who passed away last Oct 16. after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

"Never namin nakita, hindi kami nakapag-thank you. This is our way of saying thank you. He is a huge part of our life, I hope this can help us let go," Directioner Jaycee said.

"Tagal namin inaantay reunion. Na-shock kami. Kasi si Liam talaga guato magka reunion," her friend Nikki added.

Both women, who had followed the boy group since their X Factors auditions in 2010, expressed that beyond showing their appreciation for Payne, they also wished to offer their apologies for not being able to help him.

"Parang as a fan, andoon guilt sa amin. Siya sinave kami, pero kami di namin nagawa sa kanya. Nag-cry na siya for help, pero di namin napansin," Nikki said.

"Para sa amin fans ang hirap. Kasi before music samin nakatulong growing up— and til now. Tapos kami wala nagawa," Jaycee added.

In 2016, the group announced it was going on an indefinite hiatus, but not splitting up.
