MANILA — It was a night to remember for Filipino fans as their favorite American pop-rock band LANY returned to the country after two years and performed their hits at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on Saturday, October 12.

LANY definitely gave an “amazing show,” words they said during their arrival in the country on Friday morning.

Lead vocalist Paul Jason Klein and drummer Jake Goss were welcomed by their Filipino fans with loud screams as they appeared on stage. They started to perform by about 7:30 p.m.

The band opened their concert with their hit “you!,” that made the crowd sang along. 

After their opening number, the band performed their hits such as “ex i never had,” “It Even Rains in LA,” “I Pray,” “somewhere,” “care less,” and “Congrats.”

Aside from singing, the band also took time to interact with their Filipino fans, telling them that “this is the biggest show of  our lives. … Mahal kita sobra!”

“Listen Manila you’ve been so, so good to us for many years. In fact I feel that Manila understood LANY before anyone else understood LANY. We owe so much of everything that we have to you. Thank so you much for your love and support,” Klein said.

The band continue to feel the love of the audience who sang-along non-stop as their favorite band performed “I Don't Wanna Love You Anymore, “dancing in the kitchen,” “pink skies,” and “Alonica.”

The band also performed “Out of My League” with OPM singer Maki.

Performing their hits “Super Far” and “Mean It” was one of the highlights of the show.

The band also performed  “13,” “Hericane,” “‘Cause You Have  To,” “Thru These Tears,” “Malibu Nights” and “ILYSB.”

LANY ended their concert at about 9:30 p.m. with “XXL.”

Before leaving the stage LANY thanked the audience for all the love and support.

“Thank you so much for the best night of my life. I love you all, we love you, I love you. We love you so much Manila. I wish I can hug you, every single one of you. Thank you for being here tonight. For as long as LANY exist we will always be here in the Philippines. Until we see you agqin we will be thinking about you,” Klein said. 

LANY’s concert in the country is part of the Asian leg of its “A Beautiful Blur" world tour. 

After Philippine Arena, the band will be performing for three nights at the Waterfront Cebu Hotel and Casino from October 13 to 15, making LANY the first international artist or group to perform three nights in Cebu. 

Presented by both Live Nation Philippines and the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) to promote the Department of Tourism’s “Love The Philippines” campaign, the three-day concert shines the spotlight on Cebu not only as a top tourist destination for its rich historical heritage, vibrant culture, and beautiful sceneries but also as a preferred venue for international concerts, music festivals, and nightlife.

LANY’s concerts in Cebu are in line with the TPB’s mandate “to market and promote the Philippines domestically and internationally as a world-class tourism and MICE destination, in strategic partnership with private and public stakeholders to deliver a unique high-value experience for visitors, significantly contributing to increased arrivals, receipts, and investments to the country.” 

Formed in 2015, LANY last performed in the country in 2022 for a five-day sold-out concert at the Mall of Asia Arena.
