Jennie of K-pop sensation Blackpink unveiled Friday her new single “Mantra,” which marks her first release under her own label.

The song, which runs for a little over two minutes, sees the 28-year-old idol delivering an encouraging “pretty girl mantra” over an addictive beat.

“It’s the perfect song to begin my new era,” Jennie said in a statement.

The music video for "Mantra" showcases Jennie performing the track across various locations in Los Angeles, including scenes where she sports blonde hair.

“The song was inspired by my time recording in Los Angeles and hopefully fans feel that energy -- which is about being positive, being expressive, and being true to who you are,” Jennie said.

“It’s energetic and empowering with a message for all of my ladies, women, and pretty girls out there to love yourself for who you are. This is your anthem,” she added.

“Mantra” marks Jennie’s comeback since “You & Me” in October 2023. It also marks her first solo track under Odd Atelier, the company she established to handle her individual activities outside of Blackpink.

In between the two songs, Jennie has put out music with other artists, including her “The Idol” co-stars The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, American rapper Matt Champion, and Korean hip-hop star Zico.

In recent months, Blackpink’s four members have mostly focused on their solo careers, but YG Entertainment — which handles group activities — has said the quartet is preparing to make a comeback in 2025.
