Maine Mendoza blasts a fake tweet that made it look like she wrote a negative review of "Fantastica," Vice Ganda's entry to the 2018 MMFF. Instagram

It was an edited tweet that maliciously tried to anger both sets of fans. And Maine Mendoza is having none of it.

In a tweet sent out as a response to the bitter fake post last Christmas Day, the actress denied ever writing a negative review of "Fantastica," Vice Ganda's entry to the 2018 MMFF.

"Yikes! Paskong pasko wala pa ding magawang matino yung ibang tao. This is edited, guys," she wrote.

It has been suggested that "Fantastica" and Mendoza's movie with Coco Martin and Vic Sotto, "Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles," are battling for the top spot of the box-office rankings this year.

The fake post, which has since been deleted, edited a tweet by Mendoza and made it look like she was criticizing "Fantastica" for being a worthless movie. It also featured a fabricated reply from Vice Ganda, as seen in the photo below.

Tired of the petty fan wars, Mendoza suggested: "Nood nalang din kayo 'Jack Em Popoy' at 'Fantastica' para happy tayong lahat."
