MANILA – Piolo Pascual is looking forward to working with Pia Wurtzbach amid talks that a movie is being prepared for them in 2018.

Pascual, however, said their project will only materialize depending on their respective hectic schedules.

"Depende sa schedule niya. Ang sa akin, ang problema ko lang talaga is I can't do both soap and movie at the same time so while they're doing the concept, tapusin ko muna mag soap," he said. He earlier revealed that he has already finished working on the pilot episode of the new series but is still awaiting word on when it will air.

Pascual said he is very proud of Wurtzbach because she has come a long way.

"Pia and I have been friends a long time, ‘Bora’ days pa lang. When she became Miss Universe talagang sabi ko ang sarap lang when you see her grow and evolve. I'm always gonna be here for her kaya sana makagawa kami ng pelikula," he said.

Aside from his possible movie with Wurtzbach and his new series, Pascual also has a Lav Diaz film slated to be released in February.

"There's a movie with Shaina, it’s coming out this February by Lav Diaz. We shot in Malaysia. And ang Panahon Ng Halimaw gagala kami sa Berlinale this February," he said.

In addition to starring in his own projects, Pascual previously said he looks forward to producing more movies in 2018.
