MANILA — For the first time since its founding in 1996, the Asian Television Awards will be hosted by the Philippines, its organizer announced on Monday.

The 24th Asian TV Awards will be held from January 10 to 12, 2020 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.

Some 300 international delegates—filmmakers, actors, producers—are expected to attend the three-day event, including the award ceremony on January 11.

The ceremony will be hosted by actor Mark Neumann and ANC’s Cathy Yang, along with Thai actress Ase Wang ang Singapore media personality Wallace Ang.

Filipino nominees Martin del Rosario (“Born Beautiful”) and Julie Ann San Jose (“Barangay 143”) will also be attending the awards night. Yang is also a nominee as best news presenter for “Market Edge.”

On January 12, a concert will close the 24th iteration of the annual event. The lineup of performers include Indonesia’s Anggun, South Korea’s Cherry Bullet, Vietnam’s Hoang Yen Chibi, and the Philippines’ Martin Nievera, Jona, Morissette, and Gab and Kiana Valenciano.
