Ex-'Pinoy Boyband Superstar' finalist signs with Universal Records

MANILA – Former "Pinoy Boyband Superstar" finalist Mark Oblea recently signed a recording deal with Universal Records.

He now joins the recording label's roster of talents like Gary Valenciano, Christian Bautista, Noel Cabangon, The CompanY, Parokya ni Edgar, Gloc-9, Sponge Cola, Aiza Seguerra, Claudia Barretto, Donny Pangilinan, and Elmo Magalona, among others.

Tagged as "Kwelang Badboy ng Bacoor" in "Pinoy Boyband Superstar," Oblea is determined to pursue a career in music.

He writes his own songs and plays the guitar.

The 22-year-old heartthrob is slated to release his debut single in the first quarter of 2018.

Aside from his passion in singing, Oblea is also into acting. Right after his stint on "Pinoy Boyband Superstar," he immediately bagged two major TV projects.

As a showbiz newbie, he has already worked on episodes of "Wansapanataym" and "My Dear Heart."
