MANILA -- "Pinoy Big Brother: Otso" grand winner Yamyam Gucong is praying for the speedy recovery of his "spiritual brother," Japanese vlogger Fumiya Sankai, who recently underwent a lung operation.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Friday, Gucong admitted that he was saddened when he heard about Sankai's condition.

"Siyempre nalungkot ako kasi supposedly ngayon ay taping namin sa 'Home Sweetie Home,' dapat taping naming dalawa. Nalungkot ako. Nakaka-miss din ang bonding namin dito. Tapos 'yun nga, nagkasakit siya bigla," he said.

"Para sa aking spiritual brother, sana gumaling ka kaagad," he added. "Sana po ay makabalik na siya rito para magka-bonding kami ulit at magkatrabaho kami ulit."

Gucong went on to share that he has included the fast recovery of Sankai in his Christmas wishes.

"Kasali na po 'yon, [na sana] si Fumiya na dumating siya his fast recovery," he said.

Early this week, Sankai shared that he needed to undergo an operation after his doctors found a hole in his right lung.
