"Totoo nga! Totoong totoo siya Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala! Apart from this 'golden lady' from Cairo that was handed over to me tonight, very dear friends, family and colleagues from different parts of our industry came and supported our celebrity screening. From the bottom of my heart, maraming maraming salamat po. Napakasaya ng puso ko to see familiar faces, people I truly look up to, people I love came. I am and forever will be grateful to all of you!" Santos wrote in the caption.

In "Mindanao," Santos plays a mother caring for a child with terminal cancer, while navigating the complications of having a soldier-husband (Allen Dizon) active in battle.

Mendoza's film also won the Henry Barakat Award for Best Artistic Contribution.

Santos also earned praise for her role in the film during its world premiere in the Busan International Film Festival.

She has been credited in Screen Daily’s review as the “main asset” of the film.

"Mindanao" is also an official entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
