Former ABS-CBN talent RJ Rosales dies

MANILA, Philippines - Former ABS-CBN contract star RJ Rosales died last December 4. He was 37.

The cause of his death has yet to be announced since Rosales' family has requested for privacy.

"We sympathize with RJ's family on his untimely demise. We ask everyone to pray for his eternal repose," Star Magic said in a statement.

Rosales (Roseo Jose Rosales in real life) was based in Sydney, Australia. He became a part of the Australian production of "Miss Saigon" in 1996.

He was also part of the musicals "Chang and Eng," "The Student Prince," "Man of Letter" and "Cabaret" in Singapore.

Rosales also had stints on ABS-CBN shows "ASAP," "Attagirl" and "Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka," a duet with Carol Banawa for the theme song of 2002 film "Forevermore," and a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival for the film "New Moon."
