Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition viewers may know Ralph De Leon as the "Dutiful Judo-Son ng Cavite," but he has already won hearts with the characters he portrayed before.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Ralph expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to let people get to know him for who he truly is.

“It will actually help me. Kasi feel ko mas makikilala ako ng tao kung sino talaga ako and not just bilang yung mga karakter na na-play ko, whether it be Atom from Zoomers or si Doc Kevin ng High Street. Mas makikilala talaga kung sino si Ralph and yun naman talaga yung gusto ko pagpasok ko ng bahay,” he expressed.

For those who might have missed it, Ralph portrayed the ill-tempered achiever Atom in Zoomers Season 1 and 2, where he auditioned alongside other up-and-coming actors. He also gained wider recognition when he was paired with Xyriel Manabat in High Street as Doc Kevin, the green-flag-turned-red-flag partner of Xyriel’s Roxie.

Then came Pinoy Big Brother, something he admitted wasn’t part of his original plans.

“Actually, wala sa plano ko mag-PBB. And hindi ko naman naisip na para dito ako. Pero, when presented the opportunity, siyempre na-excite ako. Sabi ko, alam mo, why not? Tingnan natin kung anong klaseng experience ang madadala ng PBB. Kasi totoo naman talaga na once in a lifetime siya. So I couldn't afford to pass it off,” he shared.

Ralph, a gold medalist in judo, shared how excited he is for the challenges, even before entering the house.

“I feel like it's gonna be really fun. Ako talaga as a competitor, as an athlete, lahat ng tasks at challenges talaga yun yung pinaka-look forward ko sa bahay ni Kuya. Kung ano mang ipagawa sa amin doon, game na game ako, kayang-kaya,” he emphasized.

Meanwhile, Ralph also shared who his favorite reality show alumnus is.

“Ang former housemate na pinaka-standout sa akin actually si Kuya Joshua Garcia. Nakita niyo naman dati na palagi lang siyang tulog sa bahay. May task na nga siya na pinagawa ni kuya na buong araw dapat siya tulog. And look at him now. He's one of the top, if not the top, actor sa Pilipinas. One of the biggest celebrities, one of the biggest stars, and grabe lang yung development niya from yung bahay ni kuya sa season niya up till now,” Ralph revealed.
