MANILA – Filmmaker Arlyn Dela Cruz on Monday said she feels “blessed beyond words” because several actors still expressed their support despite the decision of the Professional Artist Managers, Inc. (PAMI) to inhibit all its artists from accepting any projects that involve her.

Dela Cruz is the director of the movie “Bubog,” which made headlines after Baron Geisler peed on fellow actor Ping Medina while they were shooting one of its scenes.

Last Saturday, PAMI said it has ordered its members not to work with Geisler after his "disgusting act and behavior."

"As managers, when we send our artists to the set, it is with our complete trust that the producer and director will protect and ensure the safety of our artists. Therefore, we have also unanimously agreed to inhibit all our artists from accepting any projects involving Arlyn Dela Cruz," the group said.

In a statement sent to ABS-CBN News on Monday, Dela Cruz thanked those who have assured her that they will continue to trust her with their talents.

“I am confident that other actors will work with me. I thank Karl Medina for taking over the role for Ping Medina. I also want to thank Ms. Jackielou Blanco, Julio Diaz, Allan Paule, and Juan Rodrigo for coming to the set in spite of the sweeping statement made against me, which was made by the way without anyone of them conducting an investigation or at least taking an initiative to ask me or my entire production team who were there that night,” she said.

She likewise thanked “two other veteran actors who sent word, they want to work with me in my next projects.”

Although her film has been beset with controversy, Dela Cruz reminded her production team that they still have a movie to finish.

“The intention and the purpose of the film is bigger than this controversy. The story is the centerpiece. The story is the lead. 'Bubog' is a film that is based on the war on drugs. We are in the middle of that war and it's far from over,” she said.
