‘It’s Showtime’ co-hosts Teddy Corpuz and Anne Curtis share an emotional moment on Wednesday. ABS-CBN

MANILA — Anne Curtis was instantly moved to tears Wednesday as Teddy Corpuz, her “It’s Showtime” co-host and long-time friend, revealed his birthday wish during the noontime program’s live episode.

The program mainstays were greeting Corpuz on the occasion of his 41st birthday in its opening minutes, when he was asked to share his wish.

After blowing a birthday candle, he revealed: “‘Yung wish ko, hindi [para] sa akin, e. Ang wish ko talaga maging healthy at maging complete ‘yung baby ni Anne… Walang labis, walang kulang.”

“Naiyak ako! Happy birthday, Teddy. Thank you for sharing your birthday wish with my baby. God bless you even more,” a crying Curtis said.

Curtis is a first-time expectant mother with her husband, restaurateur and vlogger Erwan Heussaff. She is six months into her pregnancy.

Corpuz and Curtis were among the original hosts of “It’s Showtime” when it premiered in 2009.

The program’s decade-long run has seen numerous personal milestones of its hosts, including Corpuz’s own televised wedding ceremony with his wife in 2017, and Curtis’ engagement and marriage with Heussaff, and now, her pregnancy.
