It's difficult to spend Christmas separated from your parents, as this 11-year-old kid can attest.

Andel's mom had to leave for Dubai, and will not be back two or three years from now. He said his guest appearance on "Little Big Shots" on Saturday was a way for him to make his mother proud despite the distance between them.

In the spirit of the holidays, the kiddie talent show decided to give an early present for Andel and had his mother record him a message in secret. Host Billy Crawford explained that Andel's mom might get in trouble if her employers found out what she was doing.

"Salamat kay God at binigyan niya ako ng anak na kagaya mo. Lalo kita tuloy nami-miss. Good luck sa iyo. I love you at I miss you so much. I'm your number one fan," Andel's mom told her.

"Sana lagi ka diyan mag-ingat. Sana huwag kang magkasakit diyan. I love you," Andel replied.
