Details are emerging about the drowning incident that claimed the life of Hashtags member, Franco Hernandez.

Janica Nam Floresca, the girlfriend of the 26-year-old heartthrob, was with her boyfriend when he drowned during an island-hopping trip in Davao Occidental with friends.

In an interview with Pep, she recalled her last moments with Hernandez.

She began by echoing the police and said that they were made to jump out of their small boat after strong waves began to hit it, filling it with water.

She then claimed to have been made to wait about 30 minutes before being rescued, consistent with the reports on the incident that had the boat operators admitting that they prioritized saving another drowning man over them.

She also recalled being told to make their way to the shore, despite her and Hernandez repeatedly saying that they don't know to swim.

Her horrifying retelling of being left floating in the turbulent waters by themselves was the most chilling part of the interview, with her describing seeing her boyfriend slowly drown to death.

She added that she felt herself crying as they made several panicked attempts to stay afloat.

The interview concluded by her acknowledging the attempt to revive both her and Hernandez after finally arriving on shore.

The report on Hernandez's death said that he was rushed to a clinic in a nearby town, where he was later on declared dead on arrival.

Hernandez died last November 11.
