In the end, it was a no-brainer.

Teresa Loyzaga appeared on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" on Friday and was asked about her decision to leave her job as a flight attendant for an airline company in Australia.

She said that it was a difficult move on her part, but one that she had to do so she could be with son Diego Loyzaga.

"You choose family or work? You can always find work. Family? You cannot have them back again once you've lost them. So will you wait for that time and then regret?" she asked.

In his birthday message for his mother last week, Diego acknowledged, without going into specifics, that she needs her now "more than ever" as he shared his heartfelt Instagram post.

"And I don't think that will ever change," he added. "I want you to know how much we appreciate you and how great of a mom you really are."

Diego is Teresa’s son with Cesar Montano.

Teresa was on the talk show to promote her upcoming afternoon drama, "Hanggang Saan," which will premiere on Monday.

Top-billed by Sylvia Sanchez, it is about a mother who resorted to murder in order to pay for his child's hospital bills, and shows how her dark past continues to haunt her family years on.
