MANILA – Lynn Ynchausti, wife of veteran actor Tirso Cruz III, took to social media to mourn the death of their eldest son.

TJ Cruz passed away on Wednesday, November 21, after months of battling cancer. He was 37.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Ynchausti shared her heartfelt message for her firstborn, saying he "fought a good fight."

"I remember you telling me, 'Di ako nahihiya, Ma, na tawaging Mama's Boy. I am proud to be a Mama's Boy!' Oh my dearest TJ, I am proud of you, my dearest son!" she said.

"Pinahiram ka ni Lord sa akin for 37 years, and I thank God for that. I am blessed! You are now dancing in heaven for the Lord! You fought a good fight, anak!" she added.

Ynchausti went on to say that she will miss her bonding moments with her son.

She said: "I will miss our talks, 'yung tawanan natin, 'yung paghati natin sa food, 'yung pagdaan mo sa room namin ni Papa mo before you leave the house and pag-uwi mo, 'yung kumakanta tayong dalawa while you were in the hospital praising and worshiping God, our morning and evening prayer time."

"So many things na nami-miss ko about you... So many beautiful memories, and I will cherish them for the rest of my life! You will always be in my heart! I love you, my son! Mama loves you, Mama’s Boy! I love you, TJ!"

TJ was one of the original cast members of "Ang TV" in 1992 and went on to star in films including "Eskapo" and "Rollerboys."

While his father and brother remained in showbiz, TJ opted to step out of the limelight in 2003.

He founded Spike for Hope, a volleyball tournament that aims to raise funds for children with critical illnesses.
