MANILA -- Actress Jennica Garcia is set to mark her acting debut on ABS-CBN, portraying a daughter of a deceased priest for an episode of the drama anthology "Ipaglalaban Mo" on Saturday.
The former GMA artist will co-star alongside Mylene Dizon and John Medina.
The log line for the episode reads: "Before Fr. Romy (Medina) passed away, he recognized Ana (Garcia) as her daughter and even declared her as the only heir of his property through his last will and testament. Fr. Romy's relatives, however, claimed his property, insisting that Ana was an illegitimate daughter so she had no rights to it."
"Ana pursued a legal battle, which her mother refused to support because of the fear of being criticized for having an affair with a priest. But for Ana, the inherited property was proof that her father recognized and valued her before he died."
The episode will be directed by Raymund Ocampo, and will also feature Lui Villaruz, Fifth Solomon, Mike Lloren, Apollo Abraham, and Chiqui Del Carmen.
"Ipaglalaban Mo" tackles a variety of real-life court cases and dramatizes it for television. The program, hosted by Atty. Jose Sison and Jopet Sison, airs every Saturday after "It's Showtime."
