Kapamilya talent Iñigo Pascual has been tapped to record the Philippine version of "Remember Me," the theme song from Disney-Pixar's new animated movie, "Coco."

"I am honored to sing this song because it is about family and remembering the people we love," the 20-year-old singer said in a statement released Tuesday.

"It reminds us to appreciate the love and sacrifice that our families had to make in order for us to arrive where we are."

Pascual will be performing the song live for the first time in a special show at the Venice Piazza Grand Canal Mall on Wednesday at 4 p.m., while the music video will be launched on Sunday, November 19.

"Remember Me" was composed by Academy Award-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who were also behind the music of the 2013 movie "Frozen."

"The song is from the point of view of a person hoping to be remembered by a loved one," said Anderson-Lopez. "But the lyric can be interpreted a few different ways depending on the tempo and tone of the music."

In the movie, "Remember Me" is the signature song of the character Ernesto dela Cruz.

"Coco" opens in Philippine cinemas on November 22.

Walt Disney Animation Studios's "Olaf’s Frozen Adventure," an all-new featurette, will play in front of "Coco."

Here's the official trailer of "Coco."
