MANILA -- Masculados shared how excited they are for their upcoming anniversary concert “Bente” on November 18 at Teatrino in San Juan. The group also announced that it is now under new management, Marikit Artist Management.

In an interview, members Richard Yumul, Orlando Sol, Enrico Mofar, David Karell, Robin Robel, and Nico Cordova said, “Marami kaming inihanda na sobrang bago.

“Kaya pa rin naming sumabay at makipagbakbakan sa new generation,” Mofar added, saying their group deserves this concert.

Preparing for the anniversary concert with surprise guests, Robel told ABS-CBN News, “Preparation namin ‘yung pagwo-workout namin. Magta-topless kami rito. Joke lang. Pero dapat nilang abangan ang pasabog namin. Nung February namin ito binuo with the help of our new management.

Sol, who starred in some movies and series, expressed his gratitude to fans for supporting their group and told ABS-CBN News, “Sobrang thankful kami na tumagal ang group namin.

The all-male singing group will also pay tribute to the late director and manager Maryo J. Delos Reyes who discovered them.

He was our savior, mentor, and a father. What a man — a man who gave us this career,” Karell expressed.

Masculados will also perform their new song “Babae” on November 18 and revealed the meaning of the song and their comeback.

Our latest song is 'Babae' na composed by Lito. It’s a song na tribute sa mga kababaihan na very now ang tema,” Robel explained.

The male group was launched in 2003 and released their second album in 2005, which was a hit. Their first concert was “Masculados” and followed by the “Dekada” concert.

About the journey of Masculados now, Yumul told ABS-CBN News, “Ang definition ng Masculados ngayon ay mas makikita na ang kakayahan ng bawat isa and not as a group.

“Masculados now ay mature na, working so hard para ipakita sa tao na we’re more than the body. At business owners na rin kami ngayon.”

They ended the interview, saying that their group is all about brotherhood — supporting one another.

Suportado namin ang bawat isa,” Mofar said.

For Robel, it’s about respect. “Hindi nawawala sa isang group ang competition. Mayroon kaming kanya-kanyang ugali pero mayroong respeto kaya kami tumagal,” he ended.
