Their music isn't exactly life-changing or enriching, but that's not the point of a Maroon 5 concert. It's not for people looking for substance on their music, and the 400 people who go to those rock joints pretending their friends' bands are going to change the world. It's for those people who think that music's sole purpose is to be the soundtrack of their daily commutes and gym workouts; and people who love going to those Tupperware and Orocan parties in BGC nightclubs that serve ridiculously overpriced alcohol. However, they're a more entertaining, more versatile and less pretentious alternative to the Nickelbacks and Imagine Dragons of the world. Maroon 5 is a band of consummate live performers, there's a lot of entertainment to be had in a Maroon 5 concert experience, like riding an incredible, exhilarating Disneyland ride.

11). Harder to Breathe (2002)
The first single that got them airplay, back in an era when they still a funk-flavored pop-rock band. "Harder to Breathe", with its hard-hitting, tenacious precipitation and implementation, is reportedly said to be an annotation on the group's exasperation with their previous record label, discussing the assertion they held that the label was suffocating them. The song could also be branded as a lament on Levine's lost love Jane (as in the Jane on the album’s title Songs About Jane); "You drain me dry and make me wonder why I'm even here," he laments.
