MANILA — When he went to the Philippines for a fan meet last month, South Korean singer Kang Daniel spent his spare time by strolling around a bayside amusement park in Pasay City.

Kang, 22, played games involving a baseball and a bottle as he wandered leisurely at SM By the Bay, as seen in a video blog or vlog posted Wednesday on YouTube.

Kang's visit to the amusement park, however, was cut short after a crowd began to follow him.

"We couldn't shoot enough. I feel bad. [The] sunset was so pretty but it was too crowded so we had to come back [to the hotel]," he said in Korean.

The rest of the 13-minute vlog featured behind-the-scenes footage from Kang's fan meet, held at the Mall of Asia Arena last October 19.

Kang rose to fame in 2017 after finishing first place in the second season of the Korean reality show "Produce 101," earning him a spot in the temporary boy group Wanna One.

Kang debuted as a soloist in July with the extended play "Color on Me" and single "What Are You Up To."
