Blackpink to hold Manila concert in February 2019

MANILA -- Blackpink is coming to your area.

The four-piece South Korean girl group is set to perform for fans in the Philippines for the first time on February 2, 2019 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The group made the announcement on its Facebook page Thursday.

The concert is part of Blackpink's "In Your Area" 2019 world tour.

Blackpink will also visit Bangkok, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei.

The group, under YG Entertainment, debuted in 2016.

On June, Blackpink released its debut EP titled "Square Up" with the Future trap song "Ddu Du Ddu Du" as its lead single.

Blackpink also released a song, "Kiss and Make Up," last October with English singer Dua Lipa.
